European Youth Week reaches #CUOREDINAPOLI
On the 4th of May the Spanish quarters of the city of Naples were crowded despite the continuous morning rain. The occasion was special both for the Neapolitans and tourists – it was the annual artwork-event #CUOREDINAPOLI. It is organized by the students of the Accademia di Belle Arti (Integrated Media course), to enhance the city’s district and make everyone live the beauty and the liveliness of the latter through music, dances, songs, food and much more.
Every year the festival coincides with the European Youth Week, and for this occasion NOUS members were also there together with volunteers from Latvia, Spain and Serbia from the Punta Campanella Marine Park association. During the event we wandered around the Spanish Quarter to talk to young people about the youth mobility opportunities offered by the Erasmus Plus and ESC programs.
It was nice to learn what young people think about the possibility of being able to travel for free for a project, to learn and improve one’s language skills, to learn about new cultures by meeting people from various countries, to have the possibility of an internship, volunteering or even work in the field and in the country of one’s personal interest.
At the end of the activities we provided the young people with information materials, contacts and references necessary for their first adventures in the frame of the Erasmus Plus and ESC programs.
Once again we would like to thank all the young people who made it happen and the organization of #CUOREDINAPOLI for this wonderful occasion to speak up about European mobility opportunities and for the unforgettable day lived in the heart (Cuore) of Naples.
